General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-In-Chief of The Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, Witnesses The Signing Ceremony of a Number of Memoranda of Understanding and Armament Contracts with South Korea

General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, witnessed the signing ceremony of two memoranda of understanding in the field of military cooperation between Egypt and South Korea, and a contract for the joint manufacturing of howitzers. EGY k9A1 with the South Korean company (Hanwha), in the presence of Mr. Kang Eun-Ho the South Korean Minister of Defense Acquisition Program Administration of South Korea (DAPA).

Lieutenant-General Ahmed Khaled, Deputy Minister of Defense, Commander of the
Strategic Command and General Administrator of Military Industrialization signed two memoranda of understanding in cooperation in the fields of defense industries and logistical support, and another memorandum of principles organizing cooperation in the field of defense research and development, in order to coordinate and exchange military expertise between the two countries. Major-General Osama Ezzat, head of the Armed Forces Armament Authority, on a contract for the joint management and manufacture of the howitzer system k9A1 EGY Locally in companies and factories of the National Authority for Military Production with the South Korean (Hanwha) Company, represented by Mr. Song Gil, Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors.

General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the attendees, stressing that the General Command of the Armed Forces attaches great importance to military industrialization and the development of armament systems, as it is one of the most important components of the armed forces’ military power.

Pointing to the keenness of the General Command of the Armed Forces to keep pace with the development in the global armament systems so that the armed forces always occupy an outstanding position among the armies of the world with the reasons they possess of military strength, trained human capabilities and advanced armament that enable them to fulfill their responsibilities and historical tasks in preserving the security of the homeland and preserving its capabilities.

For his part, Mr. Kang Eun-Ho the South Korean Minister of Defense Acquisition Program Administration of South Korea (DAPA), expressed his great happiness for the military cooperation with Egypt as a major regional power, looking forward to witnessing more joint military cooperation and coordination between the two countries in the next phase.
Engineer Mohamed Ahmed Morsi, Minister of State for Military Production, delivered a speech in which he stressed the continuation of coordination between all Egyptian state institutions and the armed forces to develop and upgrade the armament system to preserve Egypt's national security.

The signing ceremony was attended by a number of commanders of the armed forces, chairmen of the boards of directors of companies of the National Authority for Military Production, the Arab International Optical Company, and the ambassador and defense attaché of South Korea in Cairo
