General Muhammad Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production witnessed the main phase of the tactical command centers project (Sumoud-1), which is being conducted by the Eastern Canal Forces Command to combat terrorism, and continues for several days within the framework of the Armed Forces’ combat training plan, in the presence of Lieutenant-General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, chiefs of the Armed Forces main services and a number of commanders.

Major General /Khaled Bayoumi Al-Araby, commander of the Eastern Canal Anti-Terror Forces, delivered a speech in which he stressed the keenness of the General Command of the Armed Forces to provide all aspects of support to the leadership of the Eastern Canal Anti-Terror Forces to carry out all the tasks entrusted to them efficiently and competently.

The main phase of the project began with a brief presentation of the operational idea of the project and the decision taken In the situation during the project. General Muhammad Zaki, discussed with a number of leaders and officers participating in the project the method of carrying out tasks, and how to take a decision to confront sudden changes during counter-terrorism and the extent to which they mastered these tasks according to their different specializations.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, he also conveyed his pride in the efforts exerted by the men of the Eastern Canal to carry out all the tasks entrusted to them, praising the high level of all the elements implementing the project, which reflects the high combat readiness, the distinguished training and professionalism in the implementation of the project, stressing that the Armed Forces is able to protect the homeland and preserve its sanctities with its advanced armament system in all Specialties and a professional combatant capable of carrying out all tasks under various conditions.

Lieutenant-General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, witnessed one of the project phases, which included presenting reports and decisions implemented for all units during the phases of operations management.

The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces also discussed with a number of commanders and officers the tasks assigned during the implementation of the project and imposed a number of sudden tactical situations to ensure their ability to take the right decision during the course of the battle.​
