Elements of the Egyptian border guard forces and Sudanese infantry elements who are trained for border security tasks, continue to implement the joint Egyptian-Sudanese training (The Guard of The South -2), that activities continue at the Border Guard Training Fields Complex.
The activities included a number of theoretical lectures and practical exercises that contribute to unifying concepts and honing skills in a way that enhances the ability to secure borders and combat all methods of smuggling, infiltration and illegal immigration using the latest advanced means and equipment used in securing the common borders between the two sides, as well as training to thwart infiltration attempts through the coast.
Major General Imad Abdel Qader Yamani, Commander of the Border Guard Forces, during his follow-up of the training activities, he emphasized the importance of the training and the exchange of the expertise between Egyptian and Sudanese forces in the field of border security, praising the outstanding performance of all the personnel participating in the training.
The joint training (The Guard of The South -2) comes within the framework of supporting military cooperation relations between the Egyptian and Sudanese Armed Forces to maximize the benefit from the bilateral capabilities of both sides in the field of border security.
