General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with Mr. Gilbert Kabanda Kurhenga, Minister of National Defense and Veterans of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting Egypt, where an official reception ceremony was held at the General headquarters of the Ministry of Defense, and military music played national anthem for both countries.
The meeting dealt with developments on the regional and international arenas and their impacts on security and stability within the African continent in light of the current circumstances and challenges, as well as understanding on increasing aspects of military and security cooperation between the two countries in many fields.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces affirmed his pride in the military cooperation relations between the Egyptian and Congolese Armed Forces in various fields. He also stressed the importance of coordinating military efforts between the Armed Forces of both countries.
The Minister of National Defense and Veterans of the Democratic Republic of the Congo praised Egypt's efforts to support all the African continent issues to lay the foundations of security and stability in it and to achieve the aspirations and ambitions of the peoples of the continent, expressing his hope for more coordination in issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and a number of commanders of the Armed Forces of both countries.
