An Egyptian supply ship belongs the Egyptian merchant fleet leaves the port of Al-Arish, heading to Syria and Turkey
In implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to continue providing relief aid to both Syria and Turkey within the framework of Egyptian support and solidarity with the people of the two countries, following the devastating earthquake in both countries.
A supply ship belonging to the Egyptian merchant fleet departed from the port of Al-Arish, heading to the port of Latakia, Syria, and the port of Mersin, southern Turkey, to unload its cargo of hundreds of tons of relief aid provided by the Ministries of Defense, Social Solidarity, the Zakat and Charity House of the Al-Azhar Sharif, and the Long Live Egypt Fund. This aid is to the affected areas in Syria and Turkey to contribute to alleviating the effects of the devastating earthquake.
The two countries’ officials expressed deep thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by the Arab Republic of Egypt, coinciding with the visit of Mr. Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, to Turkey and Syria, within the framework of Egyptian solidarity with both countries in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake.
This assistance comes as a continuation of the pioneering Egyptian role towards various brotherly and friendly countries, providing support and permanent solidarity in times of adversity and crisis.
