As part of the Armed Forces’ commitment to strengthening cooperation with civil society and coordinating with all state institutions and agencies, the Popular and Military Defense Forces, in cooperation with the South Sinai Governorate, implemented a joint practical exercise for crisis and disaster management with the participation of executive authorities. The exercise aimed to assess the level of preparedness and readiness to confront emergency situations using available resources, as well as to enhance the capabilities and skills of specialized personnel.
In line with the strategy of promoting loyalty and national belonging among the youth of the nation, a number of educational seminars were organized at the Directorate of Education in Qalyubia Governorate, as well as at Damanhour, Benha, and Alexandria Universities. An additional awareness seminar was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in South Sinai Governorate. The events were attended by a number of governors, university presidents, faculty members, and male and female students.
The seminars highlighted the risks and challenges surrounding the Egyptian state amid current international and regional developments, in addition to showcasing the role and efforts undertaken by the state across various sectors.
During these events, Major General Hisham Hosny Hassan, Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, to the attendees. He emphasized the importance of such events in raising youth awareness of current risks and challenges and how to address them in a manner that places the interests of the homeland above all other considerations.
The events also included honoring a number of families of martyrs and individuals with special needs.
In addition, the Popular and Military Defense Forces organized several visits for employees of ministries and directorates, as well as students from universities and schools participating in the “Pioneers of Egypt” initiative, to a number of military units and national development projects. The visits aimed to familiarize participants with the efforts and achievements of the Egyptian state and its Armed Forces in support of Egypt Vision 2030.
